Maria Gorlee is psychoanalytisch psychotherapeut, TFP (Transference Focused Psychotherapy) therapeut, leertherapeut NVP en supervisor NVPP/TFP/NVP i.o.

Zij werkt als vrijgevestigd psychotherapeut in eigen praktijk in Amsterdam en Amersfoort (https://www.praktijkgorlee.org/). Daarnaast is zij actief als bestuurslid van de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Psychoanalytische Psychotherapie.

Na haar studie psychologie aan de Universiteit van Leiden heeft ze zich verder verdiept in de theoretische grondslagen van de psychoanalyse in Barcelona (Spanje). Terug in Nederland heeft ze de psychotherapie opleiding bij de Rino Amsterdam gevolgd. Na het starten van haar eigen psychotherapie praktijk heeft ze zich verder gespecialiseerd tot psychoanalytisch psychotherapeut bij de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Psychoanalytische Psychotherapie (NVPP) en als TFP therapeut.
